Rights activists oppose parties' agreement on 'truth and disappearance commission'

Organising a press conference in Kathmandu Thursday, human rights activists and
civil society leaders have raised strong objection to the recent informal agreement between the parties for to form a single Truth and Reconciliation and
Disappearance Commission instead of two. Few days ago, major parties reached
informal consensus to form single commission although the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) is about forming separate commission on truth and reconciliation and disappearances.
