Major political actors intensify bilateral talks in a desperate bid to ensure timely statute

The ruling UCPN (Maoist) and main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) held bilateral talks today and decided to resolve all the thorny issues obstructing timely constitution drafting.The meeting held at Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence in Lazimpat was part of an attempt of major political parties to build mutual trust and confidence so as to forge understanding on crucial issues to pave the way for promulgation of the new constitution by the May 27 deadline.
